A Supper Club for wine lovers

Elizabeth Lloyd-Owen17 March 2017

Join Sunday Brunch wine expert, sommelier Raul Diaz and Roux Executive chef Toby Stuart for Suppermelier, our second round of a new wine tasting & food pairing experience at Cactus Kitchens on Thursday 22nd & Friday 23rd June and Wednesday 19th & Thursday 20th July.

Friends since their days together at Roux at Parliament Square the two amigos know their cabernet from their Cahors. Chilean-born Raul, one of London's leading wine educators has the answers to all your vinicultural questions. Toby, fresh from an adventure-filled sabbatical with Argentine grilling legend, Francis Mallmann presents simple and delicious dishes for uncomplicated but sophisticated dining.

"The whole evening was extremely good fun, informal, and informative. Both Toby and Raul were eager to please and have a wealth of knowledge that we mercilessly minded." - Chloé Morris - Edible Stories for RSVP Pop Up

At Suppermelier the food is chosen to match the wine, not the other way round. So if you've ever been crushed by a wine bore; glugged your way through an expensive bottle you loathed, or your drinking habits have become tediously predictable, then this event is for you. Fun and informal the evening also includes a live cooking demonstration.

"Part five course dinner, part wine tasting and part cooking lesson, all three elements are combined expertly for an event that left me wanting to find out even more about wine and food." - Faith Strickland - Design My Night

Toby's 5-course menu, designed to show off Raul’s impeccable wine choices, includes a salad of buratta, pumpkin and raddichio with herbs and lamb chop, baked sweet potato and walnut gremolata. Look forward to an evening of good company and good fun sampling seriously good wine with tasty dishes to match.
